protect ya mind (a poem)

Published 15 days ago • 1 min read

your mind is a terrible thing to waste
even worse to have it to someone else
your mind is your most powerful asset
yet, so many underappreciate it
allowing it to be controlled by others
focusing attention on other assets
they hope will appreciate

if you fail to control your mind,
someone else will.

Bob Proctor said “your thoughts are things”,
“if you believe it, you can see it”,
and “you are the master of your destiny”.

if you fail to control your mind,
someone else will.

Kobe had the Mamba Mentality
Resilience
Fearlessness
Obsession
Relentlessness
Passion
coincidence it’s not,
the first four reside in your mind.

if you fail to control your mind,
someone else will.

the first step in changing your life
begins with changing
your mind
your thoughts
your beliefs
your self-talk
your understanding of what is possible

if you fail to control your mind,
someone else will.

“mind” comes second in the all-important
spirit, MIND, body, and money.
having a vision of your authentic life isn’t enough.
your mind has to believe
the vision from your Higher Power
or it can never BE.

if you fail to control your mind,
someone else will.

most are going through life
unaware they have handed their most valuable asset
to someone else
for them to control
and use for their own agenda.
your attention is today’s most valuable commodity
because once it is possessed,
it provides a direct line to your mind.
you’ve seen the Simpsons
and how it “predicts” the future.
what if it didn’t predict and instead influenced the future
using the Collective Conscious
to bring the storylines to reality?
if enough people believe, could it eventually be?

if you fail to control your mind,
someone else will.

social media
network news
corporations
are all fighting to control your mind
making you a pawn in their game of chess.
they understand the value and power of YOUR mind.

if you fail to control your mind,
someone else will.

now, you have a choice
unaware you are no more.
protect ya mind if you already are in control,
take back control if you aren’t,
or continue to allow someone else to use it
for their benefit, not yours.
if you’re serious about living your authentic life
you will take back and protect ya mind.
be like Bob.
be like Kobe—sorry Mike.
because if you fail to control your mind,
you fail to control your destiny.
control your mind, control your life.
the choice is yours.

This is inspired by the fourth talk of last fall's Keep Pursuing Series, "regaining control of your mind."

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

As you get more clear on what your authentic life looks like and begin to realign your behaviors and habits with your authentic life, you might find your Self easily falling back into the old ways you are trying to move on from. I don’t know this to be factual, but I think that’s normal and does not mean you won’t reach your authentic life—assuming you recognize you’re back to your old ways and refocus your attention on the new. The important part is to recognize that you’ve reverted to the...
